Job brief

We are looking for a high-performing technical Sales Manager to help us meet our revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. You will be responsible for maximising our sales potential in the market through excellent account management, new business development, and intelligent product sales and positioning.

Responsible for developing existing clients and finding new business within the market, you will report into the Sales & marketing Director.

Responsibilities
 

  • Take responsibility for revenue for the defined geographical and vertical markets
  • Target, engage and convert new customers to drive increased revenue
  • Manage existing customer accounts, with a focus on growth and retention
  • Generate leads and opportunities through outbound, strategic and targeted prospecting
  • Contribute and deliver a growth plan, owning personal targets
  • Identify product/solution partners/ resellers
  • Work alongside engineering to bring new products to market
  • Market and industry intelligence and up to date with what’s new in the marketplace
  • Able to work with other departments (design, engineering & production) to assist with product development utilising market knowledge
  • Identify and participate in relevant industry networking events and exhibitions – possibly including overseas travel.

Requirements

  • Degree in electrical engineering/Business studies – desirable but not essential
  • Experience from a similar product manufacturer, and exposure to a sales process focused in working on technical enquiries & customer designed products
  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent negotiating & communication skills

Salary - £ dependent on experience
Benefits – Car Allowance, pension, laptop, phone, 25 days holiday (depending on location).
Hours – 37.5 Hours per week, Mon to Thursday 8-16:30, Friday 8-13:00
