The Hydrogen Capability Network (HCN) is planning a research conference to bring together UK experts to share knowledge on key research challenges that need to be addressed to realise liquid hydrogen flight. The key challenges are:
LH2 materials behaviour
The fundamental science behind low temperature and hydrogen effects on materials, considering experimental and modelling disciplines.
LH2 thermofluids
The fundamental science behind cryogenic hydrogen thermofluids behaviour including both experimental and modelling disciplines.
Hydrogen health and safety
The key challenges and issues in the field of cryogenic hydrogen health and safety that needed to be addressed to safely realise LH2 flight.
The proposed research conference will enable us to bring together expertise and share knowledgeon these key topics, raise awareness of the research challenge and the industrial requirements, build a research community, and signpost opportunities for advancing research in aerospace.
The event is likely to be held in the week commencing 6th January 2025 in or around London. To help us shape the agenda and a suitable venue, please let us know if you are interested in any or all of the following by completing the form below.
- Attending the conference as a delegate
- Presenting your research
- Sponsorship opportunities including showcasing your organisation to attract talented research professionals
