Role Description:

The Engineering Manager (EM) is responsible for overseeing all core engineering activities at Innovatium,
centring around the development of Innovatium’s proprietary product, the PRISMA Liquid Air Battery. The
EM will help guide the development of the technology and drive the engineering design and
manufacturing/testing activities. The person will be responsible for managing key supply chain and
technical partners to ensure quality and value for money and will be responsible for engineering
procurement. The EM will also be responsible for ensuring that engineering projects run on-time and to
budget and will report on these to the company board. The person should have practical experience of site
work and will take ownership of site activities including audits/surveys and will liaise with the appropriate
client representatives and represent the company in this regard. They will work closely with the Operations
Manager to ensure that quality systems are implemented and adhered to.


Role Responsibilities:
• Oversee all engineering activities including;
o Technology development
o Product concept build & testing
o Engineering design
o Supply chain engagement
o Product build and test
• Input to technical delivery strategy and growth plans
• Liaise with and manage outsourced technical partners
• Manage key supply chain partners to ensure quality
• Manage key projects to ensure run efficiently, on-time and budget
• Oversee applications engineer and technicians
• Liaise with technical representatives at client base and oversee site installations including surveys
and scoping
• Work closely with operations manager on project schedules and procurement
• Work closely with ops manager to deliver quality management system
• Represent the company from a technical standpoint at trade shows and events
• Generate progress and budget reports on engineering to senior management


Key Requirements:
• Proven track record in engineering/engineering design with a thermal and mechanical bias
• Cryogenics experience would be advantageous
• Degree qualified or equivalent
• Practical skills and experience of managing and executing site work
• Experience of manufacturing and manufacturing supply chains
• Knowledge of the energy sector in particular the energy storage sector
• Keen interest in green technology
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to adapt and flex to suit fast moving start-up environment
