“Allectra have a custom manufactured chamber providing thermal insulation for a cryogenic gas trapping system that concentrates compounds of interest before analysis. An air sample flows through tubing packed with trapping material, wrapped round a standoff cooled to -170 C by a Stirling cooler. Volatile compounds are trapped while oxygen & nitrogen pass through. The trap is heated electrically to release the compounds of interest into an analyser. This chamber can handle 4 traps simultaneously.”
