We are currently looking for a Program Manager to work with the engineering team out of our Redditch site.
The Redditch site specializes in the design, development, and manufacture of components for small-scale cooling infra-red devices used in guided weapons and thermal imaging systems, high pressure actuation systems, and satellite cryogenic systems. All of these can be delivered to both commercial and space/military markets.
As Program Manager you will be responsible for managing the overall programmatics of our New Product Introduction (NPI) Programs. This will include working with the Project Engineer to develop and maintain both schedule and budget, establishing a weekly review cycle and ensuring attendance and NPI buy-in from all needed members of the engineering team and all needed Production/Quality/Procurement staff, liasing with both customers and key suppliers in order to quickly communicate and address issues, and coordinating and managing the necessary engineering reviews (IPDS).

Responsibilities:
· Manage (along with the Project Engineer) the programmatic elements of all Redditch Engineering NPI programs, including budget, schedule adherence, and engineering/programmatic review cycle compliance.
· Provide a level of technical understanding and oversight to ongoing engineering programs.
· Will use engineering and business experience to mentor and support junior engineers in the completion of their work.
· Identify opportunities for improvement in our current operations, and implement; drive efficiency, accountability, and excellence to standards.
· Identify key program milestones and drive those to completion (and hold program team accountable).
· Manage and maintain a positive customer relationship.
Experience required:
· Minimum business or engineering degree, with 5-10 years program management experience in a relevant industry desired
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
· Understanding of general program management principles and skills, PMI-certified (or equivalent) preferred
·
· Engineering background/experience desired but not required for the right candidate
