The British Cryogenics Council Harry Jones Prize 2025-2026
Congratulations to Daniel Seal, the winner of the Harry Jones Prize 2025–2026. The prize included £250, along with complimentary BCC membership for two years for both Daniel and his supervisor, Prof Graeme Burt.
Daniel was invited to deliver a public seminar, held in January 2025, where he formally accepted the award. The event included a light lunch, followed by a 50-minute presentation.
The seminar explored the context and key highlights of Daniel’s work, along with insights into future developments in the field. The presentation was delivered at a level accessible to a general graduate scientific audience, offering both clarity and depth, similar in style to a Horizon documentary.
