The CSE is opening nominations for two inaugural CSE Awards: CSE Award for Excellence in Cryogenic Engineering and CSE Early Career Award for Cryogenic Engineering.
CSE Award for Excellence in Cryogenic Engineering
The award will be given for notable engineering development leading to a major contribution in the field of cryogenics. The award is open to anyone based at a European institute, company, or university.
Candidates must have published several papers relevant to their major contributions published in peer-reviewed venues.
CSE Early Career Award for Cryogenics
The award will be given for notable achievements by an early career researcher or engineer in the field of cryogenics. The CSE considers early career to be individuals who received their highest certificate (e.g. BSc, MSc, or PhD) within the past seven years. The award is open to anyone based at a European institute, company or university.
Candidates must have at least one paper relevant to their contribution published in a peer-reviewed venue.
Candidates for both Awards will be judged by the CSE Advisory Council. The CSE Board will make the final determination of the awards.
The awards include a 200€ prize, free 1-year membership to the CSE (for both the awardee and their supervisor in the case of the CSE Early Career Award for Cryogenics), and free European Cryogenic Days (ECD) registration for that year. The awards will be presented in person at the next ECD, where the winners will be invited to give a presentation on their work at the event.
