ICE wins Innovate UK Funding to Develop an Ultra Low Vibration Magnet System

April 2023

ICE are excited to annouce that we have been awarded an Innovate UK Smart Grant to fund the development of an ultra-low vibration optical cryogenic system with a vector rotate magnet. The 10-month project will aim to develop ICE’s existing DRY ICE DYAD cryostat through the integration of a 6-1-1 Tesla, 3-axis vector rotate magnet.

MagnetDYAD, as the project is currently known, will accelerate the growth in the UK's quantum and nanotechnology sectors by delivering game-changing DRY cryogenic apparatus with an integrated vector rotate magnet. Achieving a base temperature of 1.3K, sample cooldown time of < 2 hours and world-leading sample manipulation and rotation.
