In view of the worldwide developments of the corona-crisis we decided to cancel the European Cryogenics Days. At this moment, the situation in Europa is rapidly deteriorating and it is unclear what the coming weeks will bring. Anticipating on earlier developments in China, we hope that by the end of May the worst is over, but most probably the situation of daily life will not yet have returned to “normal”. It is not decided yet whether the ECD will be postponed to later this year, or whether it is completely canceled and the next ECD will be the one in 2021.
On behalf of the local organizing committee and the Board of the CSE,
Marcel ter Brake and Srinivas Vanapalli
The Cryogenics Society of Europe (CSE) and the High-Energy Physics network (HEPTech) in collaboration with the University of Twente (UT) invite you to attend the 2020 European Cryogenics Days on May 24 - 26 on the beautiful campus of the University in Enschede, The Netherlands.
This event will consist of the annual meeting of the Cryogenics Society of Europe on Monday May 25 followed by invited talks on all aspects of cryogenics, an industrial exhibition, a visit to UT laboratories including cryogenic facilities, and social events, May 25 and 26. Ample time will be provided for one-on-one meetings.
In addition to these two days, we plan to organize a young-researchers program on Sunday May 24. Participation including social events is free of charge for members of the CSE. Non-members need to contribute a minor fee of 50 euros. Corporate members of CSE will have a reduced exhibitor fee. Additional details including registration information will be sent in a second announcement early 2020.
