EF III Conference: Fundamental and Applied Science for Alternative Energy Technologies

Sydney Australia,
5 - 7 February 2018

The international EF III Conference: Fundamental and Applied Science for Alternative Energy Technologies will be held at UNSW, Sydney Australia, from 5 to 7 February 2018. The 2018 EF III Conference and Exhibition are co-organized by University of New South Wales, University of Wollongong and University of Birmingham

This third Energy Future conference will focus on energy conversion and storage – from materials to system integration, consisting of multiple symposia:

Energy Conversion

Energy Storage

Thermal Energy Storage

Australian-French Energy Symposium,

Linking Industry and Research Innovation Symposium

Early Career Researcher (ECR) Symposium

The Thermal Energy Storage Symposium aims to bring thermal energy storage research and industrial communities together to review state-of-the-art developments in the field and foresee its potential and opportunities. The symposium will focus on:

·        Thermal energy storage materials, including formulation, manufacturing, scale up, and modelling of novel materials/composites for sensible, latent and thermochemical storage at temperature from -150°C to 1000°C

·        Thermal energy storage units (modules, components, devices)

·        System integration & optimisation of thermal energy storage and thermo-mechanical energy storage (CAES, cryogenic energy storage, pumped thermal energy storage, etc)

·        Techno-economic analysis and policy for thermal energy storage
